Non-Destructive Material Testing (NDT)

• generally divided into the following methods:

  • surface homogeneity - searching for defects on the tested surface (MT magnetic method and PT penetration method)

  • inner homogeneity - searching for defects inside the tested material (UT ultrasonic method and RT radiographic method)

• An experienced and qualified workforce, certificated by an independent certification organization in accordance with EN 473 at Level II, performs all methods (MT, PT, UT, RT) of non-destructive material testing within UNEX a.s.

Types of tests:

• UT materials (ultrasonic testing of sheets, rolled products, welds, castings and other special parts)

• RT materials - X-ray testing - in X-ray pictures- material thickness up to 50 mm

• X-ray TV testing - directly on TV screen (optionally video recording) - material thickness up to 40 mm

• MT materials (magnetic control)

• PT materials (penetration method)

• Measuring thickness with an ultrasonic detector
